Four weeks until the wedding. Full to-do list, confused mind. And you still haven't decided on the signage.
It's possible to create a beautiful set in four weeks, but you need to know what to ask for and in what order. Here's the checklist we give our clients.
Week 1: Decide on the essentials
Three pieces make 80% of the impact:
1. Welcome sign. The first thing guests see. Names of the couple + date. In a large format, designed for the space. Place at the venue entrance.
2. Table numbers. Set of 8-15 (depends on the number of tables). M or L size to be visible from 3 meters.
3. Functional signage. Bar / Restrooms / Guestbook / Dance floor. If the space is large, it makes all the difference.
These three sets cover the basics. Reference price: 199-299€.
Week 2: Distinguishing details
If the budget allows, add:
Place cards with each guest's name (small plaques, S). Great if you want to assign seats.
Large initials of the couple for the main backdrop (behind the head table or on the dance floor).
Cake decoration: personalized cake topper in PLA (lighter than metal, with a careful matte finish).
Week 3: Production
This is where we come in. Workshop production: each piece printed, hand-finished, carefully packaged.
What you need to do: confirm visuals, pay invoice, define delivery.
Week 4: Delivery and setup
You'll receive it at home with tracking, or we can arrange in-person delivery in Coimbra/Lisbon/Porto. Bring it to the venue on the day (or the night before if there's decoration).
Tip: bring good quality double-sided tape (3M VHB) and small table stands for numbers and cards.
Mistakes we avoid in our service
Ordering everything at the last minute: 4 weeks is the comfortable minimum. Less than that is already a risk.
Mixing fonts: choose one font for everything. Mixing fonts looks disorganized.
Inconsistent colors: choose a palette of maximum 2 colors (1 base + 1 accent).
Wrong sizes: visually test. Signage that's too big looks commercial, too small and no one sees it.
